Tecolote Canyon Golf Course first opened for play in 1964.The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr..
Par for the course is 58. From the back tees the course plays to 1581 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 1580 yards. The course has 18 sets of tee boxes.The longest hole on the course is the par-4 339 yards number 8. The shortest hole on the course is the par-3 105 yard number 1.
Watch out for number 3 a par-3 152 yard challenge. This is the #1 handicap hole on the course. The par-3 109 yard number 18 is considered to be the easiest hole on the course.

Natural canyon setting. Very challenging. Straight hitting a must or you will lose a lot of balls. Excellent greens. Don't discount this course because it is short. Can be a very eye opening experience.

Wonderful little community executive course in the hills above San Diego's Mission Bay. Kept in good shape, and challenging for its length. (As one friend put it, "What Tecolote lacks in width it makes up for with trees.") On our regular rotation.
